Kaytlyn Johnson of Texas Dreams has committed to LSU for the 2021-22 season.
Kaytlyn is a U.S. junior elite gymnast. She has recently moved to Texas Dreams, and was at Denton Gymnastics Academy before. In 2017, she finished fifteenth on vault at the U.S. Classic, and in 2018 she tied for eighth place on vault and for tenth on floor at the GK U.S. Classic.
Prior to turning elite, Kaytlyn had an excellent Level 10 career. In 2016, she was the Texas champion in the all around, on vault and floor, as well as silver medallist on bars and bronze medallist on beam. In 2017, she regained her all around and vault crowns, added the bars title and was second on floor. She was later crowned Region 3 champion in the all around and on vault, tied for silver on floor and for bronze on beam. She qualified to her first Junior Olympics, where she tied for silver on vault and for bronze in the all around.
